Organic smoked paprika from Spain (Murcia), of the highest taste and smell quality, for your dishes in sauce like goulash and grilled marinated chicken or pork. Its nose is extremely rich, with the characteristic fragrance of smoked oak combined with the freshness of peppers.
comes from a cooperative of several hundred small producers in the Murcia region of Spain. Made from Ñoras peppers, paprika is smoke-dried in double-decker columns. The lower part contains the oak and the upper part the peppers.
since a constant temperature must be maintained, never exceeding 45 degrees and never dropping below 35. The different layers of peppers are mixed so that smoking is as even as possible.
Thanks to this meticulous drying and smoking process and low temperatures (cold smoking), optimal dehydration is achieved.
This gives paprika a perfect deep red color, great stability over time, delicious flavor and a distinctive, intense aroma.
The entire process has been carried out on site for generations, resulting in one of the world's finest paprika varieties.
Paprika is a rich source of antioxidant phytochemicals.
Lycopene is the substance that gives many fruits and vegetables their red color, as in the case of peppers, tomatoes or watermelons, which can also be orange or even yellowish, as in the case of carrots or papayas.
Lycopene is composed of antioxidant carotenoids.
They have attracted a great deal of medical attention for their biological and physico-chemical properties in the prevention of chronic diseases such as many types of cancer and cardiovascular and degenerative diseases.
These are the phytochemical pigments considered responsible for the health-protective effects of fruits and vegetables. A group of around 600 fat-soluble pigments.
How does lycopene work in plants?
It is synthesized exclusively by plants and micro-organisms and is found in nature as a natural pigment that protects plant health. Its function is to absorb light during photosynthesis, protecting the plant against photosensitization.
In humans, lycopene has been scientifically proven to help neutralize free radicals, thus preventing the development of various types of cardiovascular, neurodegenerative and certain types of cancer.
It improves heart problems and is very beneficial for eyesight, as well as age-related problems. This antioxidant capacity is also beneficial for keeping skin young and hydrated.
Lycopene can be taken directly in crude or fat-soluble form, as well as in all its derivatives, as it retains its functional properties after processing.
Sauces that include paprika preserve and concentrate all their properties in an exceptional way.
In paprika, lycopene helps give the fruit its optimum color, which coincides with the exact moment of ripening and harvesting.
The redder, more intense color indicates a higher level of carotenes, as is the case with the peppers used in our Paprika, giving a higher concentration of lycopene.
