Loumi organic dried black lemon

Dried black lemon is basically a Lime (green Persian lemon) which is scalded and then dried in the sun.

Its black color comes from its initial dark green color, while dried loomi lemons made from yellow lemons take on a dark brown/ochre color. Personally, I prefer loomi made from these lemons, as their taste is much more delicate and complex, with notes of lemon marmalade and smoked tea, a delight.

Widely used in Persian cuisine, loomi can be found in sauces and soups, giving them a surprising acidity and pungency.
