Organic Camelina, also known as "German sesame" or "bastard flax", is a little-known member of the Brassicaceae family, just like rapeseed. Grown mainly in northern France, it is very rich in Omega-3 fatty acids.
The taste of Camelina oil is quite similar to that of almonds, while its high alpha-linolenic acid content makes it similar to rapeseed or olive oil.
