Here we go,
our organic grocery store goes online and our first article! What a joy, a long and beautiful story will be written throughout these pages, these years as we travel and discover around the world.
November will be our "first" trip (first for Place des Epices, as we've been traveling extensively for decades in search of rare plants and little-known peoples). If you haven't read our story, Frédérique's and mine in the section devoted to Place des Epices, you should know that we are passionate about botany and travelling to meet the people who make the earth, our earth, the earth of agriculture in the generous and noble sense of the term.
We headed for Morocco to harvest and buy Crocus sativus, Taliouine saffron, not Iranian saffron. In our opinion, it's the only real saffron worthy of the name, and although it's more expensive, there's really no comparison. First stop Marrakech, then on to Tarroudant via the Tizi n test, then a few days later on to Taliouine.
We'll be sure to publish a report with pictures and videos so that you can fully appreciate this moment in late October and early November when the saffron harvest begins.
