Located in the southern province of Rwanda, in the middle of the mountains, the Cyangugu cooperative groups together small growers cultivating one-hectare plots at altitudes of between 1700 and 2100 m, on the volcanic soils of the Virunga Mountains, along the Sudanese border. The natural shade provided by the richness of the surrounding vegetation ensures that the coffee trees benefit from the best possible conditions for their development, giving the cherries optimal, natural growth.
Over 200 species of tree and 300 species of bird can be found in this magical region of Rwanda, a biodiversity paradise to be preserved for future generations.
